The Races in Middle-Earth

 For someone who prefers to start reading Tolkien's "Silmarillion", he should begin learning about the Ainur and the different races across Middle-Earth. Today we start with the Valar, the Maia, Elves. Men, Dwarves and Wizards.

The Island of Nύmenor

This is the island of Nύmenor, which was lost before the end of the Second Age and raised in the beginning of it. It was supposed to be the most beautiful island of all the region of Arda. It was the last region in which mortal men could dwell and the island of Tol Eressea in the West was visible. There lived the famous Nύmenorian, who in the Third and Fourth Age ruled the Reunited Kingdoms of Middle-Earth.

The Undying Lands in Middle-Earth

Valinor or Aman or The Undying Lands was the Realm of the Valar, the Maiar and the Quenti in the West of Middle-earth.At the end of the Second Age it was removed from the known World, when the Seas got bented. Mortal Men could not pass to the West but the Elves even at the beginning of the Fourth Age could sail with the elven ships from Mithlod in Eriador and Pelargir in southern Gondor.
